Haarlem bears the nickname 'Bloemenstad' (flower city). Nearby Haarlem is the largest dune-areas of the Netherlands with typical Dutch flora and fauna.
In Leiden (Leyden, city of Rembrandt), we spend the night in a monumental hotel.
Experience Leiden in the morning during a canal cruise. Through the flower fields, we go to Lisse to visit Museum de Zwarte Tulp (The Black Tulip museum).
We need to take a ferry to reach the village of Kaag. Cherish its old history and beautiful scenery over the water.
Put on your hiking boots for a walk in the polder of the Groene Hart (Green Heart). Walk through the fields, climb fences and pass cows and windmills.
