DAY 1 // Enjoy a fascinating sight at the flower auction of Aalsmeer (flower capital of the world). It will dazzle you.At "De Cruquius", you experience how the Haarlemmermeerpolder was drained and land was created out of water. Enjoy lunch in a small borough along the river Maas. A traditional clogmaker will demonstrate the old Dutch art of making wooden shoes. Last visit of today is medieval castle Ammersoyen. A tour through this castle takes you back into time. Be spoiled at a luxurious Bed & Breakfast along the river just behind the dike.

DAY 2 // Leave on time to be one of the first visitors of the Floriade. The Floriade is a global spectacle in which many dozens of countries participate. The park comprises five unique worlds: themed zones connected by wooded areas. Worlds in which you will see, feel and experience nature in a constantly changing way. Here you’ll learn about nature and find out just how important flowers, plants, trees, vegetables and fruit are in our daily lives. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the park from the 30-metre-high cable-car system.
Enjoy the park for a full day, before returning to Amsterdam.
